Cardinale Enrico Benedetto Stuart, Duca di York.

Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester inaugurate the coat of arms of Henry Benedict Stuart, Cardinal Duke of York, at the Pontifical Scots College, Rome. During their recent visit to Rome, on November 30th, the feast of St Andrew, Patron Saint of Scotland, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visited the Pontifical Scots College. Among the various events of the visit, the Duke of Gloucester unveiled a reproduction of the coat of arms of Henry Benedict Stuart, Cardinal Duke of York, painted by Marco Foppoli (AIH) and donated by the artist with the consent of the Cardinal Henry Stuart Society of Rome, who own the original painting, which joins several Stuart portraits in decorating the new lecture theatre dedicated to the Cardinal Duke of York. The reproduction of the coat of arms of the last descendant of the Royal House of Stuart, of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, who lived and died in Rome, was appreciated by HRH the Duke of Gloucester who said he was honored to inaugurate the arms of his "Cousin". I Duchi di Gloucester inaugurano lo stemma del Cardinale Enrico Stuart al "Pontifical Scots College" di Roma. Durante la recente visita romana delle LL.AA.RR. il Duca e la Duchessa di Gloucester, il 30 novembre, giorno di S. Andrea, hanno visitato il Pontifical Scots College di Roma. Tra le varie iniziative della visita i Duchi di Gloucester hanno scoperto una riproduzione dello stemma del Cardinale Enrico Benedetto Stuart, Duca di York dipinto da Marco Foppoli (AIH) e donato dall'araldista in accordo con il Comitato del Cardinale Enrico Stuart di Roma al Pontifical Scots College che ha dedicato alla memoria del Cardinale di York la sala conferenze del Collegio. La riproduzione dello stemma dell'ultimo discendente della Casa Reale degli Stuart d'Inghilterra, Scozia e Irlanda - che visse e morì a Roma -, è stato apprezzato da S.A.R. il Duca di Gloucester che si è detto onorato di inaugurare lo stemma di suo "Cugino".
